Manchester United have revealed they saved 11 per cent on their wage bill from summer exits as Ineos tightened its finances. The club have

revealed their first-quarter results, with wages down £10.1m or 11.2 per cent on the same period last year.

United have attributed the drop in wages to the departure of first-team players. With the likes of Mason Greenwood, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Scott McTominay, Anthony Martial, Raphael Varane and Donny van de Beek all leaving in the summer.

Wages have also been reduced this season given the club’s failure to play in the Champions League. But that also meant broadcasting revenue was down 20 per cent in the quarter. And marketing revenue was down 9 per cent for the same reason. http://ufabet999.app They also spent

£8.6m on Ineos’ recent restructuring of the club. This includes the club’s job cuts.

Chief executive Omar Berrada said in the latest financial report that United are targeting a return to the top of English and European football. With Ruben Amorim as manager.

“The seasons for the men’s and women’s teams have already started some time. And we want to make sure that both teams are as competitive as possible. We are delighted to have Amorim as head coach of our men’s team and remain committed to getting United back to the top of domestic and European football,” Berrada said. “

Cost and staff reductions continue as planned, the refurbishment of Carrington training ground is progressing well, while the Old Trafford transformation taskforce continues to function. When the date comes for their home stadium recommendations, we will take the time to analyse and assess the options available next year.”
